Jane V. King, CFP, is a financial advisor and money manager who spent twenty years in the investment business before starting the firm. She was a Vice President at both the Massachusetts Investors Trust, the oldest mutual fund management group in the country, and at The Keystone Group. She later served as a Senior Vice President of Integrated Resources, Inc., a financial services company in New York City. Ms. King has a bachelor’s degree in French and Russian.
Jane has earned the designation of Certified Financial Planner. She has served on the Advisory Board of the Boston University Program for Financial Planning, and is on the board of the Walker Home and School. She is a member of the Financial Planning Association and is founder and president of Fairfield Financial Advisors (FFA). FFA is a Registered Investment Advisor with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
She is featured in the book “Best Practices for Financial Advisors” written by Mary Rowland, and is a frequent speaker on money issues.
Passionate about educating clients as well as the younger generation, Jane has offered enrichment programs for youth groups. One ongoing program Jane established with others is a bank now run by students.
Laraine Reid joined Fairfield Financial in 1999 after twenty-five years at EG&G, Inc. (now Perkin Elmer), a global technology company. During her tenure, she worked throughout the Finance area, including many years as a road warrior with the Internal Audit department. Laraine received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Bentley College in Waltham, MA.
When she’s not working, Laraine enjoys outdoor activities as well as birding and the theater.
Ruth Jacobson joined Fairfield Financial Advisors in 2005 and comes to us with 20 years of experience at a small Boston investment firm. As VP of Administration, Ruth was responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day operations at the firm as well as serving as the main liaison to clients. She has made a quick transition to our client service team with her well-honed organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ruth attended the University of Massachusetts. In her spare time, Ruth enjoys the outdoors, especially travel, golf and working in her garden.
Lori Colella has received a Bachelor of Science degree from the School of Management at Boston College and an MBA from the Wharton Business School.
Since 1980, Lori has held both computer and finance positions with manufacturing and financial services companies. Beginning in 1990, her career has focused primarily on investment planning. Lori joined Fairfield Financial Advisors in 1998. She is with the firm on a part-time basis.
Caroline King Hedges joined Fairfield Financial Advisors in 2013. She began her career in 2005 at Lehman Brothers and subsequently worked for hedge fund, institutional money management and private equity firms in investor relations. Caroline received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Business from Johns Hopkins University.
